The Breakfast Club (HD DVD, 2006)

You could remake this movie every 10 years for each generation with basically the same script. I don’t say that as a negative thing. The basic ideas and feeling and personalities would speak to all teens. It is a classic already for a reason!
Nearly every actor in this film has gone on to impress us today !

This Film is a classic about a group of high schoolers on detention with all the stereotypical roles being casted, the jock, the queen, the outcast, the geek, the stoner!! Though a day on detention anywhere else would never be like the one Hollywood has portrayed it certainly is an enjoyable soul-searching coming of age film. To call it a comedy alone would be an injustice as it has many of the elements as found in dramas. A keeper for sure!

The breakfast club is best suited for teenagers. 5 teenagers from every walk of life meet in Saturday detention. You have the athlete, the brain, the princess, the basketcase, and the criminal. At 7 am they had nothing in common, but by the end they knew more about each other then they ever knew and found out they had more in common than ever before. It's a great movie and it teaches how teenagers know more about what is going on then people know.

I bought this for my niece. Even though it was made years ago, it is one of those movies that will probably be current in teens' thoughts and actions forever.

I really like it but i really only bought it because it had the dvd version but great nonetheless. I would really reccomend this movie to people with hd-dvd but as that is a dead format i wish they would release it on blu-ray. this is still a great movie on dvd though!
