Breakdown (DVD, 1998, Widescreen Collection)

Any of you who read my Reviews will see that 99.9% are excellent.That is because I buy the DVDs with the Actors & story lines I like the most for my library.In this have Kurt Russell,who can do both drama & comedy with the same expertise, & Kathleen Quinlan,who in my humble opinion is greatly under-rated.Fine action,tense drama & the bad-guys get their just dues.

GREAT DVD. BOY I'LL TELL YOU....I WOULD NOT WANT TO BE IN THAT COUPLES SHOES!! BUT IN REALITY I IMAGINE SOMETHING LIKE THAT COULD HAPPEN, JUST DON'T FOOL AROUND WITH ROAD RAGE TYPE DRIVERS!!!

I was channel surfing late one night and caught only part of Breakdown. That was enough to spark the interest in owning a copy. If you like a suspenseful - action- thriller movie then this is definitely a good choice.

suspenseful movie. i like kurt russel. he is a great actor. he can portry different chacters and pull it off with ease. reccommd this movie to anyone. a plus movie!

Kurt Russell, J.T. Walsh and Kathleen Quinlan star in this 1997
thriller. During their vacation, Jeff and Amy's car breaks down.
After a trucker offers to help and takes Amy to a phone. Jeff soon
realizes she may have been kidnapped and desperately searches for
her. I like this film and think it's one of Kurt Russell's best.
J.T. Walsh was also a great actor and did terrific in this as the
villian, Red. This dvd is good, but only features the trailer.
This a great film I recommend picking up.

Kurt Russell & his wife are relocating. While driving cross-country; 'Truckers from hell', kidnap Kurt Russell's wife. Kurt Russell out-smarts these cold blood phycopaths, and follows them back home. You will be rooting for this couple to kick-butt. This movie is one of Kurt Russell's best. If you like Kurt Russell, check-out "Tombstone." Both are outstanding performances.

Why do they say there are no special effects? what about the car riding the river rapids, the car hanging from a nail over a bridge with the girl inside, the truck plunge at the end, what do they call those?

I bought this movie because I was thrilled the first time I saw it at the movies back in the late 90's, the movie was Brand New and GENUINE.

liked the whole premise for the movie from beginning to the end of the movie. I especially like the scene in the movie where the guy in the truck thought he was indestructable. loved the scene over the bridge as well because the guy in the big rig was trying to kill/injure in the truck. was a well thought synopsis for the movioe. I hope that the producer just like this one!!
