My friends had highly recommended the movie, and I finally saw it this morning courtesy of the video store at the grocery. I settled in to watch, and expected a total comedy! It's not. There are funny scenes, and even hilarious moments, but the strength of the movie is in its accurate portrayal of a relationship and how it can go wrong because of little things. My daughter swears that many of the interactions are typical of what she goes through with her husband. One example of a "little thing" is when he goes to the store and brings back a few lemons, not the dozen she wanted. He indicates she didn't need that many lemons . . . but she did. She wanted them for a centerpiece. And little things escalate, with neither one willing to admit guilt or take blame. All in all, interesting, real, and often funny.
