Braveheart by Original Soundtrack (CD, May-1995, London USA)

In great condition. Will buy again from seller. CD had no scratches, and in orginal case with cover. Did not take to long to send in mail, was prompt. Good asking price. A very good seller and a great find!

An excellent soundtrack. Noticeable is Horner's style of composing which at times if one listens to the tracks, you can hear some of the SAME melodies as in "Titanic".
Wonderful listening regardless.

Great soundtrack that reminds me of the movie everytime I listen to it, time and time again, and is probably my favorite mive soundtrack.

The emotionally moving soundtrack to the Oscar winning film-- poignant and passionate listening. It is a requirement for any classical collection. It takes the listener back to the movie in deeply emotional and intimate way, and allows you to stay there.
It also allows you experience aspects of the film and story not perceivable by the eyes alone. The music takes you to the hearts of the original historic characters-- an extraordinary feat and journey!

The music itself probably deserves a "Good" rating, but found the varying levels of recorded volumn VERY irratating. Music starts out very soft; almost inaudible. Audible level rises and falls through out the CD. I found myself contantly having to monitor and adjust the volumn control after every track or two. What a pain. So the lesser rating isn't due to the music, it's due to the engineering.

On a side note, I was disappointed that the "Funeral" track did not also include the bagpipe solo ("sending off in their own way") played that evening, in the presence of the Uncle Argyle and young William Wallace. But that is probably a minor omission.

If you liked the movie music then you'll like this cd. I do remember the original cd with the green cover being a little louder than the new ones with the black cover showing Wallace and the Princess. The one I bought was advertised as the original, but was'nt upon arrival (no big deal).

My wife wanted a copy of the Braveheart music. It was very easy to get on Ebay and buy (not bid on) a copy at a very reasonable price. The dealer send the copy in a very expeditious amount of time and my wife was very pleased with the purchase.
Usually I bid on items, but the price of this item was quite reasonable and saved me the problem of waiting until the bidding was over.

I love the music , but my favorite tracks aren't long enough They are only 2mins long was alittle disapointed. Sure wish I could find the music with longer tracks. Other then that It's great music.

I find the music in this CD to be truly inspirational. I would recommend it to those who enjoy celtic music.

This CD is 77 minutes of absolutely incredible music by James Horner and the London Symphony Orchestra. I bought this two days ago and have been listening to it on loop every chance I get!

Good cd, It could have been better. I thought it would have allot of bagpipe songs like the movie, but was mostly flute music.

Hauntingly beautiful... a must have for music lovers. The mystic bagpipes, a shiver of strings behind them...you can almost feel the cool fog rolling in from the sea, and across a Scottish field. John Horner's soundtrack to "Braveheart," maintains the feel of place throughout, but never relies too heavily on obvious instrumental clichés (the pipes, for instance, are used sparingly). No doubt, tracks like "The Battle of Stirling" will resonate a bit more if you've seen "Braveheart." That said, Horner's score has a rare quality: It is cinematic, but also enjoyable on its own as orchestral music.

I mean first of all, it was a great movie. the soundtrack is perfect for every scene it was played in, the pricing is reasonable, and shipping is reasonable too.

I had this CD a few years back and somehow misplaced or lost it. I went to several local big stores to find it. So basically, if it's not on the top 10 or within the last few years, they don't have it. So I went to FYE with my wife to see if I could find this CD. And there it was for $20.13 with tax. I really missed listening to it and wanted it, but my wife said it's too much right now... we'll wait. So, I thought I'd check out ebay and still found it a few bucks cheaper, but not much. Then I remembered half.com and found it brand new and sealed for $9.78 plus $3.49 S/H media mail($13.27 total). I had to wait 5-days to get it, but well worth the savings and it's a brand new original. I'm very satisfied!

The music on this soundtrack is simply beautiful, though there is nothing simple about it. You can feel the power of the songs when you close your eyes and either create a new story all in your mind or retrieve the original story of the music from your memory. I absolutely love it. It is a must have for anyone who loves the movie.

I decided I had to buy it after repeatedly watching the movie and loving the music in the background.

An Amazing Film with a truly Amazing Soundtrack. This selection performed by the London Symphony Orchestra acts as a visual stimulus to take you through all the high and low emotions of what can only be described as a true Masterpiece!

Wallace's final statement is hauntingly aroused as one listens to this James Horner (Apollo 13, An American Tail, Titanic, The Perfect Storm, Glory) classic soundscore. As a prolific collector of movie soundscores, I find Braveheart honestly one of the most moving that I own. Yet hauntingly empowering, it remains some of the most emotional music that I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to.

This CD was also a classic eBay/Half.com find.

I loved the movie and what made the movie was the music. I got the soundtrack and it is beautiful!! I love all the score on the cd. I enjoy it so much!
