While Zelda will always be the king of action/adventure RPGs, Square wasn't just offering up some junk a few years back when they put out Brave Fencer Musashi. A mostly 'cute' storyline, with a few comic hi-jinks and a nice splash of action produced a good game, very enjoyable by all means. By this day and age, the graphics are a chore to look at, but the gameplay, as with most action RPGs that are worth the money, is very good. The game is never quite epic, but provides a somewhat memorable experience and interesting ways of building up your statistics. Shouldn't take any experienced gamer over 20 hours to beat, which may reduce some of the replayability, but I still find myself going back every so often to play. The verdict? Give it a chance, you may just find yourself chasing around mammals at 3am in the morning--in game of course.

i love this game it's Praticaly flawless almost no easily accessible glitches the graphics are very good(especially for such an old game)contrary to what other people say this game it has some of the best music, most fun stages, hardest bosses, good storyline, cool feature allowing you to assimilate an enemy's ability. i love this game and when playing this before commenting on the graphics consider how old this game is. this is the end of my review this game is totally worth it.

I love the game. Its great both for its time and even into the future generation of games as an action rpg that is rivaled by, in my opinion, by only legendary games like zelda. Its got a hilarious twist of characters and epic battles, as well as a pretty good list of things to do and puzzles to solve.

My only dislike is that you cannot find the game new anymore (or if so, it would be extremely rare). For that reason, there is chance that the disc might skip or be unplayable after some point. Other than that, the game is amazing in every way.

I love the game so bad. My father used to have this game when I was about 9 years old. There was not one bad thing that i disliked at all. The game I got is in 100% condition and had no SCRATCHES AT ALL!!!!! (which I am so happy about), I didn't have any problems. After I completed the game I play it over and over again non-stop while being happy at the same time.

  Interesting game

I bought Brave Fencer: Musashi last week because it was one of the few games I remember from the PS1 era. I had played through the first 2 chapters in the Japanese version (only reason I stopped at 2 was because I couldn't read japanese and didn't know what the next objective was), and I had always wanted to finish the game. Not that I'm an avid game collector, but this title is one of those few games that Square-Enix put on the PS1 that left it's mark. If you ask RPG gamers what games they remember from the PS1, this would definitely be one of them. The gameplay has a concept with two swords and the big one is where you dish your damage out of but with the little one, you can absorb enemy abilities. That's what makes this game different from it's predecessors. To get through certain areas, you have to absorb the enemy abilities around you. While it can get annoying at times to find the enemy and then walk back to where you need to be, it also forces you to think and gives the game it's puzzle qualities. The game also has a daytime nighttime scheme going, and you have to keep Musashi fed and also let him sleep or else you'll start noticing him moving around sluggishly and whatnot. While that may sound complicated, it's just one of those things where you keep him stocked up and you'll have no problems. You also level up in the game in 4 different categories and leveling them up will give you perks when it comes to puzzles that you encounter. Overall, if you enjoy action RPGs (sort of like Crisis Core for the PSP) then you'll definitely enjoy this game. It'll give you puzzles and other things along the way to keep you entertained.

  Brave Fencer Musashi

Im a big fan of old school RPGs and this one is a classic. I remember when i first got my playstation and brave fencer was my first RPG for it. It has a fun story and is good for all ages. Brave Fencers graphics are dated but its story and gameplay are timeless. This is a must have for classic RPG action adventure gamers.

I liked how fast and how well the condition of the product is. To me it's a very rare game, but for anyone who wants to buy this game in the future I suggest that you buy a PS1 memory card to go with this game if you dont already have one. because the PS2 memory card will not except the save information. This shocked me really because I was so ready to defeat this game finally after so long of not playing it. So Please don't disappoint yourself and buy a ps1 memory card to go along with your order.

Quirky little game but I like it!!!!!!!

I love this game. This game got me through some hard times back in '98. After I beat final fantasy VII I wanted a game I could get into and I found it in Musashiden. The characters were badly polygonalized, the controls badly utilized(no use of the analog sticks), but you can't help but to love it.

I decided to buy this because my husband used to have a copy of it but someone took it from him. So I found it on here for a cheap price and bought it for him. He's been playing the heck out of it and loving it.
