Braun MX 2050 PowerMax 5-Speed Blender

I loved my blender before it croaked after about 8 yrs of very regular use. It died after an extremely thick batch of hummus my husband made. This was no fault of the blender I might add. When my dad got the blender it was a "consumer reports best buy" that we purchased at Sam's Club for around $60. Over the course of 8 yrs we have had to replace the part where the jug connects to the base in order to blend. That was easily purchased online from braun for like $5. Overall this blender is amazing! It makes beautifully smooth & thick smoothie and I can often not DRINK the smoothies but EAT them with a spoon because I have made it so thick. The pulse option allows for you to throw the gears into hyperdrive and mix thicker than any other blender I have used in the last 8+ years. This is a first class blender that you will love. The trianglular jug makes it easy to pour for lefties and righties. The unit is small and easy to use and clean. I will buy one again when this one dies! That is loyality!
