The only thing I disliked was that some of the pictures were reproduced too dark, losing most of the half tones. Otherwise, the book was quite average.

If you are a civil war history buff you know well of the famous photographer Matthew Brady who captured some of the most famous photos and portraits of the time period. This book is an excellent source revealing in large detail many of the very best of the Brady collection. I personally found the book at a local book store and immediately after opening it knew I had to have a copy in my collection. This book is absolutely a must for anyone who enjoys the history of the war between the states.
