Movie Description Young Bo Richards (Sheen), a shy teen who is awkward around girls, teams with friend Roy Alston, who just happens to be possessed of an uncontrollable rage, and the two head for Los Angeles on the eve of their high school graduation. Once they get there, however, the two rampaging teens embark on a senseless murder spree to relieve the ennui of their drab existences. Most notable is the low-key direction by Spheeris and the script by Glen Morgan and James Wong, co-creators of THE X-FILES who went on to write and direct FINAL DESTINATION.

Editorial Reviews "...One of Hollywood's most uncompromising directors, Spheeris has always been fascinated by outsiders....THE BOYS NEXT DOOR is a dark, forbidding vision....Its lack of sentimentality gives it a rugged moral force..." Los Angeles Times - Patrick Goldstein (03/29/1986)
