Boys Club CD.
I had first heard of this band through their contribution on the Karate Kid Part 3 soundtrack, though that song is not on their debut album as it came out the year before. Little did I know that one of the singers was a former member of the Jets and this band has a similar through more mature and subdued sound with a couple of old school jazz and swing flavors to them, though this is not as much of a dance as a more straightforward pop album. The biggest hit off here is the moody, percussion fused ballad "I Remember Holding You!", but there are other highlights including the bouncy, brass horns driven "Step By Step!", the Motown like "Danglin' On A String!" and the funky, snap of "Tell Me!" and "The Naked Truth!". A rare and decent slice of late 80s pop that should please fans of the Jets later releases.
