Bowling for Columbine (DVD, 2003)

This was a well put together film that introduced many facts about guns and violence and how it affects America. Moore does an excellent job of expressing his opinion!

Althought insightful and educational, you need to remember that this is a documentary.
This is being played out how Michael Moore wants us to see it. We don't see what he has cut, we don't see any of his editing. It is the same as everything else, one persons view of what he/she things is important. Remember there are always flip sides to every coin.

This is a great movie...if you like M. Moore type movies. This goes into the gun control issue along with the violence issue of America. Some of the statistics will blow you away and some of the images are quite horrifying and sad. Great movie...Will open your eyes to the way the media and our Govt. are treating and programing us to be consumers through fear.

I recommend everyone see this movie and all of M. Moore's movies. Sure he's biased and tells his side of the story...But, what he is saying is mostly true and will make you think...and in today's world more and more people need to open their eyes and start thinking instead of being robots, oblivious of what is going on around them.

So final review is BUY THIS MOVIE...or at least rent it...you should know different sides of the story than the ones the media gives you.

While I think that Moore is a real jerk, this movie did have some valid points. It was worth watching you may see what a violent bunch we are here in the USA.

I love this movie because it throws reality into americans faces. It doesn't sugar coat anything. Micheal Moore has excellent views on politics, health care, and gun control. I am a huge fan of his and I bought this movie because its one that I wanted in my collection. I give it two thumbs way up.

sure...plenty of critics of his brilliance claim he's "stretch'n the truth"...
but who's to say that THOSE politically motivated monkey's aren't stretch'n their "agenda" a lil further to make the everyday common folk not stand up for their rights!!...Michael gives you a look for 2 hours of the simplest things in life that don't need to be taught...but must not be missed!!

I was a little hesitant about buying it because I have heard a lot about it being anti gun and it was a Michael Moore movie. Now that I have seen it I was very surprised about it's content.
It's a documentary that gives u a different view about very contriversal subjects.Like our government,what the news broad casts and why we need guns.
It shows the truth about our how blacks in this country are still fighting racial discrimination. About how the government scares us into fear to keep our freedoms away from us. The health care system in this country {U.S.A.} and how it costs so much and why gun violence is influenced by poverty.
Well I don't want to ruin it too much for the readers but I would watch it atleast once. Then write your own opinion of it. I'm sure not everybody will feel the same way about it.

I love the sense of humor that is in allmmoment of the movie and how Moore shows things with a great sarcasm.!

Loves it. this is a great movie. the thing that makes this a must see is his politically unbiased look at violence in america. he comments on both the democratic and republican offenses and in the end seeks to merely beg the question: what causes violence in america? micheal moore is one of the great film makers of our time. if you liked roger and me, you'll love this.

The movie was clear and crisp. Worked great. Happy to have it. My sister told me the movie was interesting and informative so I bought it. She was right. Held my attention throughout the whole movie.

Awesome Documentary based on the love of guns and violence in America. Michael Moore is awesome! His films are brilliant and honest. It makes you realize that our world isn't as safe as we want it to be!

Michael Moore is an amazing film maker who is very controversial. He is brave and brings to light things which are too often swept under the rug. Bowling for Columbine was disturbing. It arroused alot of feelings. I appreciate having seen it.

I needed this dvd for a college class. I recieved it in two days, which worked very well for my class.

Some people love Michael Moore and some people hate him. Who cares!?!? It honestly really doesn't matter whether you are in the former group or the latter group. Put aside your feelings for him, and buy the DVD! As with any documentary, the information that is presented could be considered to be skewed in the writer/director's favor. However, Bowling for Coumbine still covers some very interesting (and supposedly factual) details about gun use and crime in America, as compared to many other countries. Whether you are a gun owner, or against firearms completely, this is a good DVD to watch if you are interested in gaining some knowledge about what has happened in the US in the past and what is happening now!

Caught a few minitues of the movie here and there, and couldn't wait to watch the whole thing. I decided to buy it on ebay, was the best thing i ever did. The movie opens your eyes to what kind of country we live in. Want every body to watch this documentary!

I like Micheal Moore's DVD'S. I enjoyed it very much. Nice find!!!!! I recommend everybody to use ebay to find almost anything they need. After finding this DVD I browsed and found other things I need.

came very prompty and in time for me to view it before my assignment was due. was in perfect condition like promised. i have shared the film with several friends already, and they too love it. great selection for your products!

I wanted to purchase this DVD to view it- I sent the money order after several attempts to verify who and where to send it as the seller does not use paypal-I bought the item in early March-I have not received it.I will no longer buy from this seller or anyone who does not accept paypal. This was not a good transaction.

The interviews are excellent and in classic Michael Moore fasion. I encourage everyone to buy 2 copies, one to keep and one to loan out to others!

Bowling for Columbine intelligently approaches on the events of the school shooting, but goes further, investigating the possible reasons why events like this, or the high proportion of gun-deaths happens in USA at present time

Discards different “possible” reasons such as : the amount of fire arms per family, violent/war episodes in the past, like for violence in the esthetic and cultural level (but it’s also auto-repressed)…

So then Moore goes analyzing social environment, USA history, way of life, today’s values in the country, education… unjustified paranoid feelings as a society and where it might be leading to, within the geographic boundaries.

To my opinion (that I lived in 5 countries in 3 different continents) is done in a very smart, funny and “making you to think about it” way.

I like all the fact I learned about how we treat guns and what is legal, and I found out a lot about Charleton Hesten. I expected him to stand up to him and say what he believe in the NRA
