Boundaries by John Townsend (2004, Hardcover, Mini)

A few surprises about this book. 1st it's about 4 inchs by 4 inches square. It fits in your pocket. Second, it's Christian Bible based. It's not a bad book. But since I believe that the Bible is a useful book but far from inerrant I find the references annoying at times. Using scripture as a proof for beliefs isn't really valid to me.

For a serious Christian, it might be very useful. It also does have some good advice that I agree with even on a secular level.

Book wasn't advertised as a "mini" book, which is what it was. Might be a cute, suitable gift for someone who read the actual book and wanted to carry a small summary with them to help them remember the main points, but it was pretty much a waste of my money.

I had NO IDEA it was a tiny size!!!! I guess I need to read the fine print!!!! The price should have tipped me off!

I bought this book to be more informed about setting boundaries in my relationships and knowing when it is appropriate to say "no". Although I did not realize it was a mini version of the book, it gave me quick insight to what "boundaries" are in this book. It is very practical and helpful. A quick read!

I found that the company took a little long to send out the book. The shipping arrival of the book took a little long as well. It took 3 weeks overall to receive the book.

This is not the real book. Very deceptive because unless you know the isbn # there is no way to tell the mini from the regular - I mean who reads all the details about every book you purchase. The mini is worthless, it has all the info of a jacket cover.

This 'mini' version is not worth purchasing. I thought I was getting the full version and this isn't even close. I wanted a copy of the full version for my son's family and didn't know that a 'mini' edition is not only grossly abbreviated, the book itself is bare 2 1/2 by 3 inches . . . if that.

This book was a gift to me from my mother during a time period when I was putting everyone before myself. Nonetheless I found it to be a very, very dry read that was more about god and I fell asleep somewhere around the 2nd chapter. I could see some subtle concepts like they were trying to make a point but the writer just never drove it home and thus I think I would rather have received something else as a gift during that time period.

I thought I was ordering a "regular" book and it was only about 3 inches. My fault though because it was detailed as "mini" and I didn't realize they had a MINI version of Boundaries. Again, not the seller's fault.

Why they made a book this small is beyond me. It leaves out all of the helpful information. We also thought it was a normal sized book and had to turn around and buy a normal size one. It is a joke.

I decided to buy this because I was misled into thinking it was the full-size version. Nothing in the description said anything about it being an abbreviated miniature book. It was virtually useless.

This was not described as a mini book. However, if you were savvy enough to look at the dimensions, you would have known it is a miniature edition (in size and content). I blame myself for not being careful enough when ordering it. I have never heard of mini books (other than cliffs notes, of course), so I never bothered to check the dimensions of any book I've ever ordered. I will check all book dimensions from now on.

I'm another one of those who thought I was getting the regular book and got the mini book. I was very disappointed. Can't wait to get the REAL book.

This book helped change my life and a few friends lives as well. IT takes you step by step in setting boundaries for you to take control of your life.

Beware The book is excellent, but there is a mini book that looks exactly the same in pictures. When I bought this book on ebay, I thought I was getting the regular book, but only received the mini book.

It was a miniature and that is not what I was expecting. The seller should be more clear about this. Lot's of frustrated buyers here.

I love the insight it offers about setting boundaries. I bought it expecting to get the larger book that includes stories about people with boundary issues. But I am happy with this little gem.

I do not like this product - I bought two copies of what ended up being miniature versions of the book. I didn't realize miniature copies existed and I have absolutely no use for them. I thought I was getting regular sized books. When I asked about returning them for a full refund I received no reply whatsoever.
