Born Annoying by Helmet (CD, Apr-1995, Amphetamine Reptile Records)

This is a compilation of rare Helmet tracks from their time with the record label Amphetamine Records. It gives an excellent idea of what Helmet were like very early on and also sets the foundations for what they were to produce on their albums 'Strap It On' and 'Meantime'. This is best displayed in the songs 'Taken', 'Oven' (a brilliant Melvins cover) and 'Your Head'. The 1993 version of 'Born Annoying' applies what the band has learn since last recording the song in 1989 enhancing the song. This is the time where a monster is brewing.
