Borderlands (Xbox 360, 2009)

Borderlands has 2 big things going for it from the start. First, it's a new IP, which is an automatic win. How many new IPs are coming out this year? Barely any, and Borderlands brings us something new and fresh. Second is the art style. At first, I didn't think the team could pull it off in such a vast world. Guess who was wrong? Even though they seem stupid, I wouldn't take these graphics any other way. The graphics really flex the muscles of the 360, and it makes sure Borderlands isn't like Fallout 3.

Now to the meat of the game. Let's start with the guns. At this moment, Gearbox has 17.5 million+ weapons confirmed for the game, which is probably where they stopped. This is a monumentous amount!!!!! It would take you 20 years earning a gun every minute to come even close to attaining all of them. And we aren't even counting items!!!! The gun count really adds to Borderlands' awesomeness.

Next, we got multiplayer. How many RPGs can you play 4-player co-op online? How about split screen? SPLIT SCREEN!!!! This is an excellent move from Gearbox, plus your character can still progress in your friend's game. This is a really huge selling point for Borderlands.

As for the actual gameplay? Excellent. There is a little bit of grinding at the beginning, but it doesn't really detract from the gameplay experience. The shooting is fast and enjoyable. The enemies are varied and you will want to shoot them. There also is AI hiccups, but it's unavoidable considering the size and balance of the game.

Overall, if you like video games, you gotta buy this one. If your a stay-at-home mom, I can understand you not being interested. But even if you want to throw fire and holy water at Borderlands because you dislike it with every part of your being..... buy it anyways. It's that good.

Although difficult to get used to in the beginning, this is actually a pretty amazing game. The first person shooter aspect lives up to some of the more popular titles, and the strategy game aspects are an excellent addition. What they sacrifice with enemy AI they make up for in skill against skill based combat.

The overall animation is good, sing an "outline" style that tends to give games sharp detail even though it less real. Makes the player feel like they are in a comic book.

This game is one of a kind. The things that got my attention to this game was its graphics. The graphics are animated and are very surreal. The game brings together RPG and FPS elements together to create a magnificent game. The only thing I do not like it the online co-op. You follow one person's missions, and there's no happy medium. Overall an excellent game and I would recommend it to anyone who loves FPS with lots and lots of guns!

why would you ever put a twenty five dollar addition to the cost? that completely ruins the point of ebay. if i wanted to pay 69 bucks for a video game i would go to a store and let them keep the change. Plus your game is used. i will not buy your products unless you take away the adition.

If you like gears of war 2 and fallout 3. This game is for you. It has countless combination for your character to build up. No to mention there are 4 characters to pick from. You find better gear or you can buy them. You have quests to do. They are endless. You keep on going. Leveling up will give you a chance to do some more modifications to your character. Make them your way. Then take them to the next step which is on line play. Test your skills against others or invite a friend to play along with you. Hours of fun. It will keep you focus on the game and the goal.

This game is one of a kind. It blends role playing with a FPS into one great story. I would recommend this game for anybody who likes a challenging game that they can play for days and days.

This game has alot to offer. It is a 2 player offline co-op, and a 4 player online co-op. There are weapons to numerous to count. Ive read that there is at least 17,000+ weapons. Overall its a great game to play with others, and with more players the challenges get harder.

i purchased this game shortly after release and it was unavailable where i live. it was at a good price and the shipping was quick and was glad to get it.

i like the game i'm glad i was able to get it for cheap as well. the seller was quick and i'm pleased with the service.

A little bit of cartoonish like graphics, but you'll hardly notice it after the hundreds of hours you pour into it. More of a FPS then an RPG, but still fun for everyone. Perfect if you like humor mixed into kickass games.

I BOUGHT THIS GAME FOR MY SON. HE RENTED IT NOT TO LONG AGO AND PLAYED IT FOR DAYS SO I FIGURED IT MIGHT MAKE A GOOD CHRISTMAS PRESENT.

my son loves this game he is 9. I love any game that he doesn't have beat in the first week. it was a x-mas gift but he saw it so already got to open. he likes all the guns and this game has lots of missions after he beats it with one he can play one of the other three players.in the firt week he is level 36 with hunter. you won't be bored with in just a few days.

I was looking for a bargain on Borderlands and found a good one. The game is fun and I would tell anyone who is looking for a role playing fps to get this one. It has all of the elements of other fps games like you can be stealthy or brutal or a combo of the two and you can pick how you develop based on your playing style. The graphics are great with gore and lots of blood and body parts flying. It is challenging without being impossible and you can explore every inch of what you see. There are vehicles to drive, treasure everywhere and a lot of missions. Fun in both single player and co-op for hours on end. Not for the kiddies. Overall a good purchase.

My boyfriend really wanted this game, and I really did too so I bough it for him for Christmas. He's incredibly excited about it despite the fact he's angry that I bought it for him. I've played it just to try and its excellent. :]

it is pure just incredible. i bought it cause i knew it was a very popular title and im a fan of cell shaded games. been looking for a good shooter. its incredible so far. level 7 hunter. great game.
