Synopsis Denver book-dealer Cliff Janeway isn't looking for any adventures, particularly those involving Ruel Pruitt. But Pruitt pulls him in with the hook of a heretofore unknown edition of Poe's "The Raven" from Darryl Grayson's specialty press. It seems that a Seattle woman (intriguingly named Eleanor Rigby) is involved in some way with the missing book. Janeway hops a plane to Seattle looking for Rigby and upon finding her, decides she is much nicer than Pruitt. He chooses to ally with Rigby and in doing so gets involved in a tangled mystery involving Grayson's very limited edition, a shadowy stalker, the creepy Pruitt, and the enigmatic legacy of Darryl Grayson and his brother Richard.

Industry Reviews "As before, Dunning's text is enlivened with fascinating tidbits on first-edition prices (probably already outdated, the author warns in a note)....Nothing bookishly sedentary here." Carroll
