The Book of Common Prayer - An Uncommonly Good Book
I'd always wanted to see inside this small but nice book, and I was not at all disappointed, by the quality - or the content. I'm Catholic, but could use this Prayer Book (what we would call a Missal) easily as a source for not only prayers-in-common with the Roman Catholic faith, but as a means to compare what one knows - with what one doesn't. A little small for my eyes, but I'll bet there's a size with large type available. A very thorough and Holy book.
I also bought the companion "Welcome to the Book of Common Prayer" and I heartily recommend that, too, to learn the fascinating history of this book which dates back to Edward the 7th (son of Henry the 8th) and played it's part in the settling of the new world and America. I will treasure both books in my collection. (Hint)Get the Prayer Book in leather if you can find it. It's well worth it(I didn't but I wish I had now.)
