Bono -- Modern Renaissance Man

I was intrigued by this book because I wanted to see how an international rock star was able to claim a powerful role in global politics. This book does not disappoint, and uncovers the complexity of Bono as a person. Fans of U2 will appreciate the description of the band's dynamics and their early days, though you will likely walk away wanting to understand things from the other members' perspective.
The book is basically a transcript from a series of interviews with Bono, and Assayas (the author) doesn't pull any punches. I was left with a strong respect for Bono's keen mind (this is one sharp dude!) his integrity as an artist.
