Bones - Season 1 (DVD, 2009, 4-Disc Set; Dual Side)

Bones is a television that first aired on the FOX Network in 2005. The series is a crime drama about an unlikely pair who work together to solve crime, Booth, an FBI agent who uses his gut and instinct, and Brennan, a forensic anthropologist who uses evidence and science, to solve cases. As such, Booth and Brennan work on cases that involves bodies that are burnt, decomposed, or destroyed beyond recognition. Joining them is Brennan's forensic team from the Jeffersonian Institute. The show is partly based upon the fictional novels written by Dr. Kathy Reichs. As an overall crime drama, Bones gets two thumbs up. It is a fun show that includes drama, mystery, comedy, and action. Not to mention, it has a fairly well-rounded cast and solid storylines.

Headlining the cast are David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel. Boreanaz plays FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth. Booth is a former Army Ranger sniper who relies on his wit to solve cases. He believes it is his intuition and ability to read people that solve cases. Evidence and the scientific process mean almost nothing to him. He works for the FBI in the homicide unit trying to solve as many murder cases as possible to make up for the countless lives he took as a sniper.

Deschanel plays Dr. Temperance Brennan, who Booth affectionately calls Bones. Brennan is a forensic anthropologist who works for the Jeffersonian Institute. Her area of expertise is postmortem identification of bodies that are beyond recognition by conventional means. She is an expert martial artist and marksman. She desires to work cases from both the laboratory and the field. She lost her family when she was fifteen. To date, she is still looking for them. It is this incident that drives her to solve cases.

Overall, Bones is an exciting drama that focuses on homicide cases and dead bodies burnt, decomposed, or destroyed beyond recognition (you might not want to eat while watching this show). The series has a strong cast who works quite well individually and together, as well as solid storylines with only a tad bit too much drama. In the end, Bones makes for a compelling drama that any fan of crime dramas will enjoy.

This is a terrific show! Starring David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel, this is a great series! Inspired by Forensic Anthropologist Kathy Riechs' books, this character came to life. It shows Emily Deschanel, as the main character Temperance Brennan (Bones) (can't remember last name) who is a Forensic Anthropologist and FBI agent Selly Booth (David Boreanaz) who solve murder cases in each episode. This is a show not to miss!

the way the actors respond to each other is what i look forward to.the way the two top actors respond to each other,and the rest of the crew is well worth watching.very heart warming.one of the better shows out there.

I randomly came across an episode of Bones on TV and was immediately hooked! I had to start from the beginning and watch all the episodes in a row. This show is highly entertaining and addictive! The mysteries are very interesting, but the absolute best part of the show is the relationships. The characters are so funny and you get so hooked on what going on with them. The relationship between Booth and Bones is the best part of the whole show. Their chemistry is amazing and so fun to watch and the writers do a wonderful job of perpetuating this will they/won't they be together questions. Stellar show!

This is the best season of Bones in my opinion. I really enjoy this show a lot. I love the mystery plot lines and they are never boring. Great show!

The show is great and the DVDs are easy to navigate. There is a character that everyone can relate to from nerd to jock. I recommend this show to anyone who likes a good mystery.

THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS! THIS SEARIES OF DVD'S IS EXCELLENT I RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE THAT ENJOYS THE MYSTERY OF FIGURING OUT THE CRIME, THE CARACTERS ARE PORTRAYED EXCELLENT! IT IS ONE OF THOSE SHOWS THAT IF THEY CHANGED THE CHARACTERS IT JUST WOULD NEVER BE THE SAME.

Absolutely LOVED this DVD series. I saw an episode and really liked it. Went on ebay to get season one, it was effortless and the DVDs were perfect, the description on the case was well presented as well as the cover. The series explained allot of the progression of the characters & really left you wanting more after each episode. Excellent, writing and acting, with serious topics, with a comical twist. Absolutely, loved this series, with both content and quality.

I love this series and to get it at such an affordable rate is great. It arrived in excellent condition and shipping was very fast. I'm more pleased than I can say!

This is an awesome series....The acting is pretty good and the storylines seeem to come from the headlines...

I Love This Show. The characters are realistic, funny, sad, and human. The plots are a bit recycled from other crime shows, but you get the characters personal lives as well as the cases. A wonderful show.

Whats not to love, great writting, great acting! The box set it great as you can watch them back to back.

Waiting a long time for this box set to arrive. If your a Bones fan as I am there is nothing not to like about this set. Loaded with extras, as well as all episodes of the first season and the orginal series pilot. Its interesting to see how the characters have evolved. A must for any Bones fan.

The item was in superb condition. I love this mini series but have not watched them all...I might keep getting the next episodes.. so far .. perfect.

I never watched this show when it first came out because I couldn't stand Buffy the Vampire Slayer or subsequently, Angel. But, after catching a few reruns on TNT, I became hooked. Surprisingly, the plot lines are not as trivial as one would expect and the character development and interactions are fairly intriguing. Overall, I give the series an A and recommend purchasing if you looking for something to do in the upcoming cold winter months.

This is one of my favorate t.v. shows. It is a modern day "who done it" program which incorporates science, humor, and a hint of romance. This show is done tastefully without nudity and vulgar language; I would recommend it to anyone.

Bones is a very intreging story line. The reason I love it so much is I love mystorys and solveing things....The show is full of it! The show also tells another story of relatonships between coworkers... its an ongoing thing unlike some shows as to where you only get show by show.. not the indepth storyline of the movie.......The reason I bought it is I am a collector of movie series.... The only thing I dislike is that I still have to buy the rest of the seasons before my collection is complete..lol

I love Brennan and Booth's interactions, as well as the science behind the story. I am also hoping to obtain the next 3 seasons at some point to be completely caught up on the show, which is begining again, this September 17th 2009.
