Bone Crossed by Patricia Briggs (2009, Hardcover)

The lead character, Mercy Thompson, is a shape shifter in this series by Patricia Briggs. She is a strong female character, i.e. she own's a garage and is the mechanic in town. But, the magical characters that surround her and the directions that her life takes in this series keep the reader captivated from start to finish. Between werewolves, vampires, fairies, shapeshifters and Mercy herself, this book (as well as this series) make for an enjoyable ride.

I bought this book after borrowing it from a friend. I enjoyed it so much that I knew I would go back to reread it several times.

This book was really good as an extension of the other books. As with most series, the first book was terrific. This book is very good and I'm enjoying each new book I receive in the series.

My family loves Patricia Briggs especially the Mercedes series. We are extremely happy with our purchase. The book, her first in hardbound, is a really good read. I especially like the fact that Ms. Briggs brings life to her characters, using ideas that we all grew up with in the first place. Buy the book and read it for yourself, and you will really be a fan, especially if you like this type of read.

Dislike that the series is now released in hardback, but only because I'm running out of bookself space and it is more expensive. I'm glad that it is popular enough to merit this change in format. Patricia Briggs is a fantastic writer and deserves credit. This book continues Mercy's story with interesting twists and developments of both characters and the world in which they live.
