Eyes of the Storm

My 12 year-old son asked me to buy him the entire Bone books collection for Christmas. I bought them at a Chicago bookstore because I didn't have time to order online. The only book missing was "Eyes of the Storm". My son kept on telling me "Mom, you have to read these books! You're going to like them!". I finally listened (parents ought to listen to their kids more often) to him and read them. I was absolutely hooked after reading the first book. I like them because they teach children (and adults) about good and evil( love, loyalty, greed, power). It was refreshing to see strong women as the main protagonists. I found the books quite humorous as well. There wasn't anything I didn't like about them. Some may argue and say there's a lot of violence in them, but that's part of life. Kids may not seem to be aware about what's going on in the world, but my son asks me: "Mom, why are they fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kenya?" What do you say to that?
I can't hardly wait to read the next Bone book in the series!
