Bomberman Battling

The Bomberman series is classic, and I have played several of them on different Nintendo consoles, but I have never played Bomberman on the Nintendo DS before now. I like how there are several different stages for Battle Mode, and the fact that some stages use voice activation for laying out or detonating bombs. I also enjoy that up to seven other players can join in the game with a single card download or I can choose to just battle against the CPU. Although the Battle Mode is excellent, I do not care much for the story mode. It is not very creative and the Quick Save function is very confusing. I wish that I could save anytime I want to, but the game only automatically saves at half way points. For example, there are several islands that you can progress to, and each island has ten stages. The only time that the game will save your data for you is after completion of stage five and after completion of stage ten. If you lose all your lives before reaching these points, you must start from the beginning which can be a hassle and a bit frustrating. However, I think the the battle mode outshines the story mode. It is still the same idea with a little twist to it, and it utilizes the stylus for the revenge mode (if revenge mode is set). I thoroughly enjoy Bomberman DS and encourage any hardcore Bomberman fan to try it out.
