Synopsis
In post-Cold War Russia, the Mafia holds the reigns of power. And the boss of the most powerful Russian crime family is looking for a way to hold his rank. He plans a heist of 250 kilograms of nuclear material, enough to make 50 Hiroshima-sized bombs. When the leaders of the Western world hear of this plan, they send in British super-agent Charlie Muffin to infiltrate the family and take control of the potentially holocaustic situation.

Industry Reviews
"One of the finest practitioners of the genre is Freemantle....Watching this spy at work is like watching a stunted genius play Mozart perfectly, even as the rest of his life is crumbling around him."
New York Times Book Review - James Polk (05/18/1997)

"A first-rate addition to a deservedly popular series, one whose chilling plot is no more bizarre than contemporary Headlines."
