Boiler Room (DVD, 2000)

Great movie from start to finish. For those with a sales background, you have a little inside information that makes it even better. Pays tribute to two other great sales based movies, Glengarry Glen Ross (a must own as well), and Wall Street, with a whole scene dedicated to the latter. Ben Affleck is the biggest name in the movie, but he appears briefly in a so-so version of Alec Baldwin's character in "Glengarry", (watch both and you will see what I mean), but the rest of the cast is stellar. Vin Diesel has moved on to more action type roles, but he was excellent here in a straight acting job. Giovanni Ribisi's Seth was great, very believable as a young salesman on the rise. Nicky Katt, Scott Caan, Jamie Kennedy, and Nia Long all chip in with great characters. They are supported with veteran character actors like Ron Rifkin as Seth's (Giovanni Ribisi) Dad.

The DVD has a few deleted scenes which are pretty cool, and other extra content. The only drawback for me is I prefer the standard plastic DVD case, instead of the cardboard and plastic snap case. I be there will be a deluxe edition soon, hopefully they dont wait for the 10 year anniversary, as it is needed now.

The DVD can be found inexpensively on ebay, and is usually around $10 in the store, so either way, it is a great buy! I would also get Wall Street and Glengarry Glen Ross, so you are on the "in" as well.

This is an excellent movie which depicts what people would think of when they hear "boiler Room" business tacticts. Actors were great. The president of the company was a pompas vein guy that your glad to see get it. OUTSTANDING.

If you loved money and looking for a good niche, you have bought the right DVD. Boiler room is a great movie that will open your eyes to opportunities.

I love this movie. It shows what a lot of crooked people in the stock business do to swindle people. I enjoyed that live hard/die hard lifestyle of the guys in the movie. A must watch for anyone in the investment business

Anyone in Sales needs to watch this movie.

This is one of the best movies I have ever seen and strongly recommend it to anyone, espically anyone entering an industry that requires sales calls!

I bought this movie for my husband and he really enjoyed it. He has watched this movie at least three times in the last month.

The acting of Giovanni Rabisi is excellent, he goes from college drop-out to bonds trader to please his over bearing father. This change may bring his father and cause him to lose everything.

I love this movie! The casting was great, the lead character actor does a great dynamic job throughout. I love the stock market, so any movie that even remotely deals with that subject, I'll probably love.

Excellent movie. Powerful performances from Vin Diesel, Ben Affleck and Giovanni Ribinsi. It is the kind of movie that makes you want to go out in the world and achieve as much as you can.

This movie was more than I expected, it was a little slow but an excelent movie. I thought that Vin Diesel would be the main caracter in this movie but he was not, but let me tell you the guy that played the casino owner, was so good in this role!
As I said it was not what I expected at all, I thought it would be like a B title movie, instead it was amazing!

I loved your service I got it quick buut I did not like the box, it was all destroyed and I was not expecting that. I decided to buy this because of the good price and because it said the movie (the actual product) was good.

I had to watch this movie for a college course I'm taking to graduate. I have worked in the securities industry and know full well the regulations involved in trading securities. This is a really good movie to show how one can get wrapped up in the money and start to cut corners, eventually violating regulations and ending up in the custody of the SEC and Feds. This movie shows you why it so important to act ethically and within trading laws. Really interesting movie for anyone involved in the stock market.

This is a can't miss movie!!! Very Motivational and really makes you want to get out of your seat and Hustle!

Any movie that references Wall Street with Michael Douglas.. Come on! This is all about the quick white collar buck.
