BFL for Women...Disappointing
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.
I must admit, I have been a HUGE fan of Bill Phillips' Body-for-LIFE program. His original book was clear, concise and straight to the point, even for beginners. I was eager to read Dr. Peeke's version designed specifically for women and the many issues that we face as we age. There are many interesting parts of her book which include the various stages that women go through and how their bodies change, but I was really disappointed in her "dumbed down" version of the actual program. I could have done without all the "girlfriend" references, too. I hate to suggest this, but it seems that Dr. Peeke was more interested in riding the coat tails of a very well established, successful program in order to make a quick buck.
For those willing and wanting to make a dramatic impact on their lives and their physiques, I recommend the original BFL book by Bill Phillips. It will become your bible. As for Dr. Peeke's version...you will find some useful information, but check it out at the library.
