Body Heat (DVD, 1997)

Kathleen Turner never looked sexier than she does in "Body Heat" as Mattie Walker. Once she gets up from a seat in a crowd at a summer band concert in Florida and walks across the screen with her crisp white dress and long flowing hair blowing in the wind, you and I are hooked. But beware, she is a vamp, who hooks a less than intelligent lawyer Ned Racine (William Hurt) into a scheme to kill her rich husband Edmond Walker (Richard Crenna). The rest is a film noir of epic proportions. I won't reveal how it all turns out, but let me just say that "Body Heat" is the most underrated movie of the 1980's. How it got past the Best Picture list for its year is amazing to me. The only negative thing that I can say is that the filming is a bit not up to par. Ted Danson has a small role before he made it in Cheers. But the movie belongs to Kathleen Turner as she wiggles her way through the legal system using her completely infatuated lawyer-lover in one of his best roles to manipulate her wishes. The music in the movie is a real plus too--so seductive!

If you are a man, you will never get over "Body Heat." It makes you paranoid about what a woman can do to you.

"The lady is a temptress methinks!" This is a great movie filled with sexual intensity and passion. Its about the power of a woman to get a naive enough man to do anything she asks. Including murder and then to pay the ultimate price if she desires it as well. Someday we will change how this interaction has evolved throughout our history as mankind on earth. For now, here we go again! A great "date movie".

Body Heat is a favorite movie of mine. I love the scenery, the characters, the music is fabulous. I like all aspects, no downside. Bought it because my vhs tape was distroyed.

This is a movie from the eighties that leads you down an obvious path, but then surprises you. William Hurt and Kathleen are very young and green but believable in their parts. I bought it for "old times' sake" and to give to my grown children to view. Thanks!!

I've had this movie for the longest time and never could find it in a dvd form but thanks to ebay I finally have.

The story is involving, great cast, beautiful haunting music, very beautifully shot. Turner and Hurt give great performances and totally pull you into the twisting plot, pithy foreshadowing, lots of play on the word Heat.

Ted Danson is great in the movie and gets almost no billing.
William Hurt at his best. Perfect casting for the roles they

Anything with Kathleen Turner is a head-turner, ESPECIALLY this movie!!! suspense, devious plots, sexy moves and moments, the best acting, this movie is a definite classic that everyone should add to their collection!!!

THE GREATEST LOVE STORY EVER TOLD!!! Now that I have your attention if a man doesn't learn why women can't be trusted after watching this movie you never will! But the power of #%!&? is just too great sometimes to see the truth or real meaning in a relationship. The only other movie I put beside this as a life lesson is "THE WAR OF THE ROSES". Kathleen Turner is more scarry than that crazy broad in "FATAL ATTRACTION".

The leading actor and actress have amazing chemistry. I have movie on VCR and wanted to make sure I had it on a DVD. One of my all time favorites. The whole plot of movie was very intriging. I like the music in the movie.

Body Heat is one of my favourites. Kathleen Turner and William Hurt are at their best. The musical score is great, too.
