awesome cd if you like sixties genre music, awesome brass section, with the cream of the crop of studio players,like bernie glow ,ernie royal,marky markowitz,and so on,definitely worth haveing in your library to fill that missing spot between straight jazz,big band,and pop,,,

This is a great CD if you're looking for the "feel" of the mid 60's. Youngsters who are interested inretro---the radio didn't play Rock 24/7. The avereage sound drifting from an open car window was Petula Clark, Herb Alpert, and this type of instrumental.
This CD collects some of the best work of guitarist Vinnie Bell, and the version of BARBARELLA is actually more interesting than the far out one on the movie soundtrack (also with Bell & Crewe).
A top notch release---only complaint is that the liner notes are a tad sparse for music-geeks like me. I want names , dates and weather reports for each session!!!
