Blues Guitar of Keb' Mo', The - Basic Techniques for the Contemporary Player (DVD, 2005)

The music and the two instructors are extremely nice and cool! I really like Keb's attitude and his message about learning to express the guitar, not to copy other peoples playing. In this spirit, it's not always easy to get all the details of the fingerings, and everything isn't explained in detail, so you'll really have most benefit from this material when you know some theory and basic playing technique already. The sound quality on my dvd is not too good, and the cameras does not always catch all the details of the fingerings, but still a great lesson to watch and learn about the blues from!

Never seen or heard of this guy. Seen his dvd in a Homespun catalodge and thought what the heck. Purchased on ebay and watched.This guy is good. Anyone who has watched instructional dvd knows the profermer sometimes just goes through the motions,but Kevin has life in his music and the way he plays. He makes mistakes and laughs then explain why.I've played guitar for alone time and have seen alot of dvds. This is one of the best. He is not a profesior that intimidates you with augs and suspends,7th and flat 9th's. Just a great guitar player that you could sit around and jam with.If you get the chance buy this one you will not be disapointed
