This Blues Brothers 2000 was disappointing. Although you had the same characters, it just wasn't as great as the original Blues Brothers. Don't buy it. Rent if you must...

Blues Bros.2 : not as good as the 1st,how could it be? John Belusi is sorely missed, of course.But great jam at the end w/ a hundred legends including Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Dr. John, Clarence Clemons and so many more.

I love the movey but was not able to find it in stores.I am a big Blues Brothers fan and was happy to have found it at a reasonable price.It was delivered fairly quick and will be looking to make more purchases in the future.Thank you again.

This movie came highly recommended by my brother, who I know will
get to see it when get's his new copy sent to him from amazon.com.
After repeated attempts to get RedTagmarket (seller) to deliver
the "Blues Brothers 2000" dvd from 7-30-08 to 8-2-08 this seller
not only failed to make good on my purchase to deliver it in a timely
manner, but snubbed me by taking the money for shipping and refunding
the price of the dvd only. I found out that the "Blues Brothers 2000" dvd
was available in RedTagmarket's website for the same price at the
time I was issued a credit to my credit card. 25 emails later the seller
still would not fulfill my request to reship the dvd to my brother, even
after a plea to send it with upgrade shipping to my brother who is
suffering from lymphoma and currently in poor health.With this knowledge
RedTagmarket chose to not send the dvd. I can say without reservation
that my brother and I are ready to make the new sequel "Blues Brothers 2008",
and as Ellwood & Jake might say, "to the end....you gutless cowards", yeah
take that RedTagmarket.

After my son saw the orginal Blues Brothers movie he really wanted to see this one. It does have some language that is not suitable for small children. I didn't like this movie because it was very far fetched and almost cartoonish in the way they dipicted some of the scenes. Driving underwater, someone being crushed by a boat, and the Ghost Riders in the Sky song were all disappointing. If you are a die hard Blues Brothers, Dan Akroyd or John Goodman fan then by all means buy this to complete your collection. Otherwise....buy the original Blues Brothers and keep away from this one.

I wasn't going to buy this set until one night I was reading, and all of a sudden the phrase "HOW-DY" kept repeating in my head.
At first I couldn't place the movie or actor. Could only hear HOW-DY replaying
in my brain. It was driving me nuts. Then, some days later I was thinking of this movie, and all of a sudden, I replayed the scene in my mind where they are at the County Fair Grounds at Cynthiana Ky., and the words HOW-DY jumped out at me.
I knew then I had to have this movie, and since I was getting this one, I knew I had to have the original to complete the set.
Now I'm a happy camper. Mystery solved. No longer a cold case file in my brain.

For any Blues Brothers fan, this is a must have!!! This movie does a great job trying to live up to the original! Even with John Belushi's absence, this sequel did a nice job keeping with the spirit of the original Movie!!! A lot of the original actors/singers/musicians are reassembled for this eloquent reunion of misfit charachters!!! I like how they added the element of VooDoo. It's sort of in keeping with how the Blues Mobile had a little "Magic" associated with it!!! Check this one out!!!

This movie didn't come even close to the original Blues Brothers. The humor was completely different, and the plot was a dog. Involving a child was a blatant attempt to get kids to watch it, but we "older" kids wanted the same style as the original. Without John Belushi, the movie just dragged on and on, while you waited for some semblance of the first film. Don't waste your money on this. Rent it first, and then make your choice.

I did find the first movie a lot more fun and exciting just because John Belushi was in it and he was a very good actor, as far as this movie it has a lot better car crash scene than the previous movie.

I know alot of people disliked this movie. Sequels in general can be awful, no one can replace John Belusi, etc. But, I really liked this movie. The music alone is worth watching it for. They didn't try to replace John, and I felt tribute was paid to him in the movie. They wtrck more cars than any other movie, except the original. The jam sessions were awesome. Seeing all of these disparate musical origins together was great. I also own the soundtrack. I enjoyed it very much. I wish I could have been an extra on the film.

I loved that all those incredible artists got together on this production. Where else could you get so many legends together, obviously having a blast! To me it was the best one ever produced, and one of the few videos that I own. It is a hoot!

Absolutely loved the fact that all of the world class musicians came to work on this project. Too bad there wasn't another mall slated for demolition like in the original.

Excellent laugh out loud movie -Great Title- I saw the movie when it came out in the theater, so I have been looking for it all around and so I thought I would check Ebay and I found it so i bought it.

OK, it's not the same as the first BB movie. Belushi is dead from an OD and John Goodman takes his place. John does a good job in his part as do the rest of the actors. The variety of musicians/singers is more diverse than the first movie and they have one of the highest car count (51 I think) car crashes in movie history!

If you are looking for this movie to be like the first, you'll be disappointed. However, if you look at it as it's own movie and watch it for the musical performances instead of a story line (these movies really are musicals after all!) you'll enjoy it immensly.

I own every BB CD put out and there are a lot of repeats on the different CD's, each presented in a slightly different way. All are good. It's the same with this DVD. It's great in it's own right.

If you like the Blues Brothers Music, you'll like this DVD.
