Bluegrass (1950-1958) [Box] by Bill Monroe (CD, Sep-1994, 4 Discs, Bear Family Germany)

I have smaller cd sets of bill monroe but this was the first of any of the four cd sets that were made by the bear studios. Since I play mandolin I can appreciate his mucic at this period in his life.There is a lot no fire in his playing at this point in his life .ther also is a lot of songs on this recording that I never heard before. some of them might have done by other artists in this period of time.IF you are a fan of bluegrass you will enjoy this set.
