I was excited to get this cookbook....it had been on my "wish list" for a while but well worth it! I sat and read it like a novel making mental notes of which recipes I wanted to try first. There are so many pages of good Southern cooking that it is hard to choose. I can see why this Inn is so popular! You don't have to be a Southerner to appreciate the down-home dishes in this book.

Very nice cookbook. I loved it for 3 reasons:
1 - All the southern favorites are in here!
2 - Great basic recipes for anybody - like mashed potatoes. Most are very easy with few ingredients (and no rare ingredients)
3 - Nice little stories about the restaurant and about southern style.

This book is great..I really like the stories about the owners and how the inn got it's name and start..The recipes are like the old fashioned ones mom and grandma use to cook every day..
