From the Developing Stages of David Lynch

A good film, dimented in certain ways, but with a relatively straitforward plot. In comparison with some of Lynch's later film's like Lost Highway and Mulholland Dr., it is much easier to understand what is going on in the story. After a woman is suspected of foul play, a young man just home from college(Kyle Maclaghlin) decides to break into her appartment to try and get an idea of just what has happened. The movie then sends the viewer on twists and turns in a web of mysteries.
