Blue Murder - Set 3 (DVD, 2008)

This series is better than good but not quite excellent. It is the third in a British police procedural series that is enhanced by the very human strivings of its lead character. I would recommend getting and viewing series 1 & 2 before starting this series. The main character has to solve crimes, deal with a family of less than perfect children and an ex that often finds himself relying on her for emotional support. The mysteries are good but what sets it apart from other British police procedurals is the characters--both in her family and in her job. I have enjoyed all three seasons of the series and am sure you will too.
