Blue Moo by Sandra Boynton (2007, Package)

I bought this for my three-year-old goddaughter and she wouldn't put it down! Since she had already owned another book/cd from the same author, she knew this was going to be the new favorite. The music is also quite bearable. Instead of listening to Raffi for the billionth time as my parents did, now parents get to enjoy updated songs from new and exciting singers and bands. Great buy.

By far, THE BEST music CD for kids AND adults! WONDERFUL music from start to finish. Hilarious, witty lyrics set to toe-tapping, catchy tunes, sung by talented, artists such as: Neil Sedaka, B.B. King, Bobby Vee, Brian Wilson, Steve Lawrence, Sha Na Na, Davy Jones, Uninvited Loud Precision Band and others. Comes with a hard cover music book that includes song lyrics, sheet music and adorable Boynton illustrations. Music by Sandra Boynton and Michael Ford. My twins sons just turned 4 and they read along with the lyrics in the song book and laugh at the humor--"One shoe. Do you expect me to hop?" They love how the Uninvited Loud Precision Band barges into the house and throughout the CD. The songs are so catchy that we find ourselves singing the tunes even when the CD player isn't on. A song will pop into my head and I'll start singing as I'm doing the dishes and my son will join in. The songs and images will stay with me throughout the entire day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE! Young, old, and anyone in between--Yes, even jaded, cynical, angst ridden teens will find these tunes too irresistible to enjoy. I teach high schoolers and have played this CD in class and have students asking to hear the songs again. The lyrics actually makes them smile and laugh. Quite amazing! It'll have the same effect on you. I had no idea this CD was this good when I bought it. I wasn't even born in the 50's but this CD makes me wish that I had been a youth during that era. I bought this CD simply because I am a Boynton fan (since the 70's). My sons have almost all of her books. We can't get enough Boynton! I loved this CD so much that I bought an autographed copy. The first item in my soon-to-be Boynton Collection--a keepsake of my sons' childhood. BUY IT! You'll be so glad you did!!!

My kids love the 50's style music. It is definitely a cd to wiggy to and sing along with. The house rocks as they dance to boggie woogie beat.
