The Blue Lagoon/Return to the Blue Lagoon (Double Feature, 2 discs) (DVD, 2005, 2-Disc Set)

As a child growing up I watched the TV version of the original Blue Lagoon... no nudity in that one. Now as an adult I saw the combination pack of the Blue Lagoon/Return to Blue Lagoon. I decided I had to purchase it because I absolutely loved the movie growing up and watching it now, brought back all of the good memories.
It is a wonderful story and makes your imagination start working. Could you imagine what you would do if you were faced to live on a deserted island and learn all about growing up on your own. These kids (Emmeline & Richard)learned about life through instinct.
"The Blue Lagoon" is an awesome movie but I would not recommend it for children because there is nudity throughout the movie. But of course if you lived on a deserted island... you wouldn't have clothes to wear either??? RIGHT?
Overall... it is a great buy and it is money spent wisely because I see this combo as a great classic.

Both of these movies are great, I do not like the second one as much as its almost exactly the same thing with different characters and a different way of portraying it. If you would like to see a movie about the wonders of life, this movie is excellent. Enjoy it, if you are worried about buying it then at least rent it.

The movie came out on cable and it was towards the end and I remembered how much I enjoyed it when I was younger. I told my daughter to watch it and she really enjoyed it so I checked in stores but could not find it. I decided to check ebay and sure enough I found both together.

i love this movie...i remember watching it when i was young. The delivery was speedy and the packaging was good. I would buy again from this seller if opportunity should arise.

I saw The Blue Lagoon per pure coincidence one day. I wanted so much to see it again that I bought this 2 discs feature. I discovered the sequel. I didn't liked the sequel as much as the original, but this package is a must if you liked the movie the first time you saw it.

Despite its critics, when you take the time to enjoy and feel it, they are dawn good movies. :) ++++++

Both amazing movies. I can't beleive how much i enjoyed them seeing that they were made almost 20 years ago. (The first one anyway). They are true classics and i love how they show what happens to girls when they mature. It's realistic in many ways. I hate movies that never show realistic things like a character going to the bathroom or something.

Very well directed. I just can't believe it was made 20 years ago. It seems like it was just filmed yesterday.

A must OWN movie!

IF you see the first one - you might be disappointed with the sequel - however it is incredible scenery and a sweet story. The first one is however the best.

I have been looking for these movies for awhile now.When I received them all of the family sat down together.My daughter has already tried to take it and keep it for herself (didn't work).

The seller offered an excellent deal. I waited about 4 weeks or better to receive and finally got a request to cancel the transaction. Payment was refunded in full, but I would have preferred to receive the item. I was disappointed.

Great movies, first movie was good and follow up was just as good. Typically sequels for any movie don't quite have the magic that the first movie had. Pat 2 was able to revisit same place but kept me watching. There is only so much you can go with a movie about castaways on an island but the filmakers were able to somehow make the second interesting. The original Blue lagoon was hard to beat because Brook Shields stuck with a tropical island is highly appealing. It also brought up enjoying life on a fundamental level. I think it is nice to imagine just having the responsibilty of just living. No cell phones, no materialism , no modern anything that we think we can't live without. Our lives are so stressed with sucess and soceity that we kinda forget how important it is to share moments with others. I
Both these movies are a good little vacation.

Oh I wasn't allowed to watch the movies when they came out. Too many bible thumpers who do what they do, but I've let my 9 yo daughter watch it with me and she knows everything to do with procreation, std, pregnancy issues etc. She knows that it was just a movie. BUT she also knows theres not a snowballs chance in hell acting in a movie like that.

blue laggon is a excellent movie about survival and living on a tropical island with nothing. return to the blue lagoon is basically the remake since so many people bitched about the nude scenes in the first one,, get a life people find something more better to bitch about like our greedy as government taxes fees and what more fees they charge

I liked the fact that I was able to get both movies in brand new condition. The shipping was also really fast.

love these movies as does my 4 y.o. boy they are very fun... there a must have for a movies collection along with indiana jones and bruce lee movies :)

Both have very good closed caption and appeared very good movie, film made from French island in pacific. First one is better, more natural shows if it was came from IFC.

These are Great movies!!!! Thank You My family loved them very much. Even my kids loved them. The DVD's are top Quality.

I have always loved these movies. I'm so glade that I now have them on dvd. If you like movies that contain young love and adventure I would get these movies.

the only thing i disliked was the sales tax should be added in so when you pay you only have to make one transaction.

Its a classic! The first one with Brooke Shields is by far the best one. Its a movie, about love and hope and growing up. It a beautiful story. I bought it for my 16 year old daughter and she loved it. It sure brought back some wonderful memories for this 47 year old mom. ;)

What can I say it is a good classic movie that alot of people have watched at some time or another. For me it kind of brought back when I was younger. It shows how these two kids get shipped out to a deserted island and they become of age and fall in love with one another and so on. I love this movie as a way to take me back in time.

I decided to buy this product after borrowing a friends. I think what I like the most about it is the innocence, ignorance if you will, which the two lead characters display. It is neat to think about what a life so pure might be like.
