11th Blue Book

I only give this book an average to good..because if you own any of the others you will see that year after year most of the same dolls are appraised. But, there are new ones as well. The appraisels I know, come from auctions, sales rooms, shops. I'm not sure if Ebay is included, to be honest. It is mostly about the antique and more collectible modern dolls. Featured here is only Book # 11 from 1993, so we know that at least # 19 is out. It is my understanding that Jan Foulke is no longer going to write the Blue Book.. that may be just a rumor. On the other hand, the books are a valuable guide to the price trends through these years.. It is helpful in identifying marks and numbers and the many pictures provide you with a visual of those dolls. And it is explicit about how to decide what a doll is worth..i.e. damaged dolls as opposed to perfect. So, I would want to add it to my Library of Doll Books if for no other reason than a reference.. The pricing of dolls in this book have a great infulence in what people want to sell their dolls for..That can be good or bad, depending on if you are buying or selling.
