Blue Book of Acoustic Guitars by S.P. Fjestad (2006)

I needed an updated price guide to keep track of the market for my business so I bought Blue Book of Acoustic Guitars 10th Edition. It is helpful in getting an idea of where the market generally is on a given instrument and has many helpful details about the history and variations that occur over the years. The ratings scale needs clarification. Condition is rated in terms of High to Low Excellent, and High to Low Average. The examples given do not make a clear example of where the lines are, which leaves a murkey mess for the reader trying to evaluate an older instrument, especially one with a history. As a reference book it covers a lot of ground, often with enough depth and bredth to be an invaluable resource. Of course there are errors and omissions, which seem to plague this type of book in general. It's not ideal, but this is good enough to be helpful in many cases.
