This is one of the Best live Albums of All Time, it's right up their with Frampton Live. The energy level is tremendous, Peter Wolf is as good a front man as Mick Jagger or David Lee Roth. Seth Justman is tremendous on keyboard.

) J. Geils has always been one of my favorite live acts and this cd captures them at their very best. It brings me back to the 70's and watching them bring the house down. Maybe the best boogie band from the early to mid 70's. An awsome cd that I'd rate right up there with The Ramones It's Alive album as one of the 5 best live albums of all times.

Peter Wolf is in great form in this live cd."Let'em know what Bostons' all about".Being from Massachucettes myself, I take that as a compliment.This has always been one of my favorite live cd's of all-time,(This and another Boston bands' live disc)!I highly recommend this cd!!!!

EnergyI gave this album a rating of good although by most accounts it probably deserves an excellent. What do I mean ? The J. Geils Band was one of the most energetic and entertaining live bands of the '70s. If this was the only Live recording done By the JGB I would give it an overwhelming Excellent rating. However, in 1972 just 3 years into their recording career JGB released a smoking one disc live set called "Full House" that displayed the band in all of their soulful glory. That brings us to this recording "Live- Blow Your Face Out" This is a slightly more stuctured double live album that was so common in the 1970's. However, this is the J. Geils Band Live and it delivers Rock, Soul, R&B and even Country in a way that only The J. Geils Band could. Add this disc to your collection and be prepared to dance the night away.

j. geils in their prime. This came out before they had bubblegum songs like Centerfold, they were a straight power blues rock band. This was probably the #1 party album of the mid 70's
