Bloom County Babylon by Berke Breathed (1986, Paperback)

If you like the Bloom County series, this book is a must have. It's 200 pages of one of the best comic series of all time. Babylon has something for everyone. Talking animals for the kids and political and social humor for the adults. One negative might be that there is a lot of political and social humor from the late eighties, so it is a little dated. I don't really think that takes much away from the book though. Babylon and the Bloom County series are aimed more at an adult audience, so getting this book for a younger kid probably wouldn't be a good idea. If you never heard of Bloom County before, but like comics that are different than the usual family circus type, give this book a try.

For any Bloom County fan, past or present. Yet another romp through Bloom County, with all of your favorite characters at their best. While the humor is dated, view it from the perspective of a stroll down memory lane. For those of us in high school or college in the 80's, you will definately enjoy this book. For the rest of you it is an opportunity to experience the wry side of life as only Berkley Breathed can show it! (And yes that is his real name) So take a little while, find a comfortable place, and see life in Bloom County once again!
