Bloodletting by Concrete Blonde (CD, May-1990, Capitol/EMI Records)

It's hard to resist Ms. Napolitano's vocals, no matter what the CD, but this one is completely over the top.
One of those RARE CDs that you can simply slip into the player and "let it go" start to finish. Highlights in my humble opinion are "Joey" (of course, it's why it was a hit) but Wendy is another killer tune, and "Caroline" doesn't stop giving me goosebumps no matter how many times I've heard it. Lyrically, this has always been a great group, but this particular work stands a world above anything else in this genre from this time period.

Low price,alittle beat up but it was used .I haven't played it yet so not sure if there is scratches on it.

Missed hearing such great songs by "Concrete Blonde", a.k.a. "Four-Non-Blondes". Couldn't wait to hear this cd. Thus, 19 years has past.... this cd still not outdated and I can listen to such talent for years to come. Great band, superb musicianship and perfect band for the gothic crowd. Throughout the years, past and present for this band and they have grown with the times as time has past and will continue their metomophisis.

this cd replaced one my son broke many years ago that i missed a lot. Very hard to find but excellent listening.

It was a gift for somebody and they loved it. They said the cd plays great. They had been looking for this cd for a while and I checked on ebay and there it was, and for a reasonable price.

Interesting album. I like the ambient guitar work. Simple drum beats get the job done. The lyrics tell stories with imagery and symbolism. Good vocals. Guitar and bass players work well together. All in all, decent album. Good Band. =)

I love this CD. The most popular song on it is "Joey", which is probably my least favorite. I love all the other songs you never got to hear on the radio. If you are a VAMPIRE fan, you will like this one!

I bought it because I wanted the cd, when I was younger, I heard this music cause' I have an older sibling that listened to this so I began to like it when I was going through my music collection I remembered this cd and went on ebay to find it. Of course, someone had a cheap copy! love that.

Ebay is so convenient, easy, and fun. I have found so many items on ebay from so many different people and it's more affordable than stores!
Plus no lines, no traffic. And it gives you something to look forward to coming in the mail for ya. Ha!

I heard the Vampire Song on the radio one night as I was driving home and waited almost 30 minutes for the announcer to give the title of the song. All I knew was Blood Letting and The Vampire Song so I did a search and found the band Concrete Blonde has tons of CD's out and I was thrilled to find this particular CD on Ebay and it stays in my CD player in the car 24/7 and I really enjoy it! Needless to say, the Vampire Song is my favorite however the rest of the songs are good too and I think you will enjoy it!

A little better than good but not quite Excellent. I enjoyed Concrete Blonde's first album more. Although they had much commercial success with this, their third album (under the Concrete Blonde Name), I don't think its their best work. Don't get me wrong, its a great album and their are some fine tunes. My favorite "Darkening of the Light" was not a single and the album is worth buying if only for this track. Includes the singles "Joey" "Caroline" "Tomorrow Wendy" and the great title track "Bloodletting"

I love this cd. This is the album that put Concrete Blonde on the map. Johnette Napolitano's voice is both soothing and haunting at the same time. Her lyrics take her listener on the ride of life with her.

I was listning to Halloween music on Youtube and a song came up that I really enjoyed. The beat was great and I listened to it over and over. I have never heard of the band Concrete Blonde but I did some searching and found that the band has been around for sometime. I in fact purchased two CD'S of Concrete Blond. The music is great and I continue to listen to the CD'S.
