Initially inspired by both punk rock and Public Enemy's FEAR OF A BLACK PLANET, on its full-length debut the Canadian rap trio Dead Celebrity Status performs socially conscious hip-hop laced with imaginative samples, arrangements, and guest appearances from rock celebrities such as Joss Stone, Dave Navarro, and Twiggy Ramirez. The slamming "We Fall We Fall" employs a creepy sounding children's choir, and "While I Was Asleep" is a classic cheating song redesigned for the hip-hop generation.
