Kept me on the edge of my seat

This movie delves into the diamond trade of Sierra Leone, in the late '90s, and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. Wild twists and turns kept me guessing as Danny Archer, a white African diamond smuggler, struggling with inner turmoil and trying to find his "ticket" out of the country, finds his path intertwined with Soloman Vandy, an enslaved husband and father trying to find his family.
With a common goal, but different views, values and desires, they manage to forge a friendship and with the aid of Maddie Bowen, an American journalist, they seek to find a large diamond that Soloman had found and hid while forced to work in the diamond mines.
Filled with action packed sequences and passionate performances, this incredible film will have you thinking about the greater scope of the world, the inner person and true motivations, and the humanity (or lack thereof) in us all.
