Album Notes
Blue-eyed, southern soul singing Grayson Hugh deviates from his strident tenor that sounds above his natural range a couple of times on this album, but not nearly enough to keep so many of the tracks from sounding similar. But the real thorn is the material: it's good, sure, but hardly above average. Name brand musicians and vocalists accompany Hugh, but nothing jumps out at you. While "Talk It Over" and "Hard Life" are credible wringers, the rest are average moaners. ~ Andrew Hamilton
