Bleeders (DVD, 2006)

Another example of the rise of vampryism from Europe transported to the New World. Storyline reflects the varied ills of in-breeding historically documented in many advanced cultures, European, African & Asian. Special effects OK. Interesting role for Ruger Hauer. Editing a bit choppy. Fun to watch anyway.

I thought that this movie was hilarious. It was meant to be a horror flick and don't get me wrong it has some horror moments but I found it funny more than anything.
The movie is about a guy that has a blood disease so he goes back to his place of birth to try to find out about his family so that he can get a beter understanding about his disease. The man and his wife go to an island and they slowly find out more and more about his past and the problems that he has caused by you guessed it, imbreeding, good times.
I don't want to ruin this movie by saying anything else but I will definetely recommend this movie to anyone. And for those that just want horror, gore, and nudity this is not the movie for you. It has very little gore and only one nude scene that I recall but it is definetely in my opinion a good movie that deserves a watch. I would even recommend buying this if you can find it for under 10 dollars. If it's more than that I would pass. 4 out of 5 stars.
