The hockey sport comes alive inside a century scope of professional leagues.
Jean Beliveau signed up in 1953 to retire in 1971. The first ever recorded
hockey game took place on March 3, 1875 and takes on a new flame as the book
ends in the '80's. Excellent photos and detailed history of hockey which will
take you on a grand tour not compared to any other book.
January 31, 1920 - page 28, Frank Patrick - page 16, Cyclone Taylor - page 31,
the tigers strike - page 47, Bun Cook - page 58, March 17, 1938 - page 82,
Frank Selke - page 90, Lynn Patrick's Rangers - page 103, Alex Delvecchio -
page 109, Bill Gadsby - page 128, Phil Esposito - pae 134, Paul Henderson -
page 147, the world's's game - page 167, the new Europeans - page 182 and more.
Huge book, 220 pages, inserts registering date lines, giant color photos, over
100 photos inside book, details gave great information on specific facts. If
your looking for history on hockey this book gives it all. I really enjoyed
reading book. Exellent photos, excellent photographer 10**********.
