i received a banged up version of the 8700c with a critical software bug. since the seller neglected to send me a charger or anything besides the actual phone for that matter, a trip to the at&t store was inevitable. after about 3 visits to the store, i have concluded that the phone was either defective or stolen- no warranty. $100 out of my pocket. don't do business with this guy.
This was really a great investment. I was inbetween 'upgrade' time frames and didn't want pay $500 for the 8800 Curve. It's 8700 has everything the Curve has except for the camera, the rollerball(it's a wheel instead), and GPS. None of these features for me were needed so picking up the 8700 was a no brainer. The added bonus was that the seller I dealt with was also really great.
I received the phone in good working condition. My husband wanted to try a Blackberry and a friend recommended the Blackberry 8700c. It was a good choice. He is not as technologically literate as I am however, he is learning his way around the device. Due to the device being pretty user friendly and the information being easy to understand. After only about a week owning the device, he is very comfortable with it and vows to never go back to a "regular" cell phone.
