Good Phone Until You Tried to Talk On It

I purchased the BlackBerry Curve 8310 two weeks ago because I was looking for a smart phone that I could use with my AT&T account to help me keep track of my busy life. As a new BB user, but not a tech idiot, I found the PDA fairly easy to set up using the set-up wizard, but was unable to set up my personal email. I was only given to option to set up an Enterprise account, but after some research (Google) found it to be a common enough problem solved by getting with my carrier. Fortunately, the phone is common enough that any challenge you run into has been solved or at least talked about on the many BB or AT&T forums available online. The trackball is smooth & easy to use and the keyboard is just right.
Unfortunately, the problem that rendered the phone unusable has been talked about on all the forums too. While using the BB as a phone, it would simply shut down after about a minute of conversation & I would have to reboot it by removing the battery. After using, or trying to, the phone for 3 days, I did not complete one phone call. Again, after researching (Google), I found out the many people had the same problem with this model of BB, gotten a warranty replacement, & STILL had the problem. It's a common issue. If not for this, it would have been a GREAT phone.
