Beautiful vibrant screen and great device overall!

This phone is absolutely beautiful. Not only is the overall style greatly improved, it feels great in hand in comparison to its predecessors. I come from the Pearl, and the 8900 is an excellent upgrade from that. The screen is brilliant, the operating system is vastly improved. There is still some slight lag here and there, but in comparison with the Pearl I was using for 3 years, it is a definitely improvement. Also, the new 5.0 operating system is coming out soon apparently. Can't wait.
My only complaint is the lack of 3G, especially since T-Mobile has horrible coverage. I barely get any single in my house or my parents house which is where I am when I'm not out and about. If you want to get the curve you might want to consider getting it on either ATT or getting the Tour on Sprint or Verizon. They have basically the same exact specs, but just a bit of a different style and you'll probably get better coverage. Also, the Bold on ATT is an excellent alternative, but doesnt have as great of a camera. The 8900 has a better screen than the Bold from what I've seen (I've used both phones).
Overall form factor is great, but if I had to complain about one thing it would be the keyboard. I'm used to larger keys on the pearl and texting with only one hand, but this phone requires texting with both hands for me and the buttons are half the size. The Tour and Bold have bigger keys.
Personally I like the trackball better than the trackpad on the newest Blackberry editions, so if you want something with the exact same specs, but with a trackball, then get the 8900. If the keypad is a deal breaker for you, get the Tour or the original Bold because they have better keypads but still have the trackball. That said, GSM is always the better alternative, so sprint or Verizon may not be viable options for some people, in which case I'd recommend getting the Bold on ATT if camera is as big of an issue for you. There are many tradeoffs here obviously, but at least there's the choice of a variety of phones :) that said, these are things that are important to me, and may not apply to everyone, so take it with a grain of salt. If you don't care about keys, trackballs or cameras, the 8900 is a great choice if you are already with t-mobile stuck on a contract because it has basically the exact same specs as all the other recent BBs.
