I purchased the Blackberry Curve 8330 for Verizon because I have already had one in the past and know that it is a reliable work horse. I have large hands and fingers, but can maneuver around the keyboard just fine due to the well thought out design of the dome-shaped keys. You can feel each and every key as opposed to the flat keyboard design. The Curve plays almost any audio file, opens almost any image or photo.... quick processor, ample memory, a great camera and an impressive digital screen display. Some of my clients and coworkers have the Bold, the Tour and the Storm which all tout higher resolution and speeds, but the Curve seems to blow them all away for some reason. For example: The Tour and Bold will not open many of the audio and pic files, but the Curve will open them all. The Tour and Bold have a higher resolution camera and display, but when I take a photo or download an image, it jumps up on the screen with bright, vibrant colors. You can see the expression on peoples' faces of how impressed they are. If there is a negative, it would have to be the bad business decision of Verizon not to support 3G to this device. The Curve is a 3G Phone... but Verizon does not support it. Therefore you will find that it lags a bit on the internet and when downloading large files. But other than Verizon shooting itself in the foot, the Curve 8330 is a great blackberry that can do anything and provide great service and reliability anywhere. The curve 8330 can be upgraded to the Blackberry 4.5 device software which lacks for nothing. This upgrade give you Documents to GO! Thus enabling the user to open and edit Office Documents including Word, PDF Files and Spreadsheets as well. Also worth mentioning is that the device is an excellent phone. Many devices have an array of wonderful apps, but the phone is lacking. The characteristics of the phone is exceptional. You can hear the incoming calls, the ringers are loud and adjustable, great reception in areas where many others cannot go, great texting capabilities...
If it sounds like the Curve 8330 is the Best unit out there, then that is what I believe and that is why I am using it rather than any of the others. It is a great device for personal use and a capable business tool in any professional environment. I highly recommend it to anyone.
