My life changed the day I got this Blackberry. The screen is very bright, with multiple brightness levels, the mobile web surfing is very fast, and the speakerphone and audio are crystal clear. It doesn't have a camera or video capability and the keyboard is a little small, but for the core functions this Blackberry is fantastic. I would be lost without it.

This is a great Blackberry to start out with if you don't have the money for a new one. I have all the wonderful features you come to expect from a Blackberry! It doesn't seem to have a camera but I am not that big on camera phones. Take a look because for the price you can't go wrong.

First, some background. I didn't want a contract or to spend a lot of money, so I bought a Blackberry 7100t from Tiger Direct two years ago. It was advertised as remanufactured/refurbished. The only thing they did was put a new battery in. The phone had no audio, sent it back twice before I got one that worked properly. The screens were always scratched. The 8700g is an upgrade. The important thing to me is that the 8700g has EDGE data compared with gprs in the 7100. The EDGE signal is also stronger in my situation outside of Key West. It is faster and more practical to surf the web. The back lighting of the display also adjusts automatically based on the lighting conditions. Also the screen is oriented opposite the 7100 and the width is more practical and effective for web browsing and reading email.

You can download MP3 ringtones. But it is here that some descriptions are off. You can't download and play MP3 songs. The desktop software will only upload to a phone that has a memory card, it will not upload to the Blackberry's internal memory. There is third party software that you can upload MP3's to the phone and use it as a music player.

The 8700g also has a qwerty keyboard which is much easier to use than using the phone like keys requiring multiple presses on the 7100.

Device was as expected, timing was also good. Much appreciated. The seller did what was expected, communication was in a timely manner and all went well with this transaction.

This is an excellent phone. If you've never owned a Blackberry, then you will learn to love this one. Only problem is that the phone has no camera.

This Phone i Purchased works great. the Complaint i have is that i purchased another Touch Screen Phone RA 931206066 HK and no one can tell me where it is so if some can find out that would make me happy.

Takes a little getting use to, having never used one before. Can't say anything bad about the Rim. Still getting familiar with all it's features. It is what I was looking for and I expect it to serve all my expectations.

Its a blackberry without a camera?! If one pays that much for a phone it should have a camera on it!

THe Ugly...
The Email options SUCKS! If you set up your email account your phone goes off every time you have a new email. Thats great for some but not for a those that get 100 emails a day! And there is no options to change the reciving.

The way it is set up, the software I guess, is very odd. There is no flow to it.Meaning the screen options etc...

YOu have to scroll through all your screen options with a scroll wheel on the side of the phone. It may look cool but you'll hate it later!

I have never seen a phone this hard to set up and personaliz! They make it near impossible.

I AM GOING BACK TO THE DASH. That was a great phone!

I like the color screen compared tomy previous blackberry. I especially like the ease with which I can download my appointments and contacts into my Microsoft Outlook. I do not use the email, so primarily it is for phone calls, appointments, and contacts. I also downloaded a Greek NT and Bible which are easily opened.

I love that it is so high tech and it has so many features. The keyboard makes it so much faster to text, and the cell phone helps me keep organized.

I decided to buy this item from this seller although I know the problem of the item described before hand. I was thinkng of using the parts if in cannot repair or fixed it reasonably. I like to use this model Blackberry 8700g I have been using months now and I recommended with my relatives and friends to have one.Easy for me especially fo text messaging.

I left the Hiptop arena too launch into the Blackberry world. I found that the Blackberry 8700g is great for emailing and typing due to the keyboard. The screen is bright, very clear and easily readable. I have a Pearl, but prefer this one when I know that I'm going to type alot that particular day. Can't go wrong with this little jewel. There's actually nothing that I don't like about the Blackberry 8700g. It does not have a camera, but my phone has a camera, so I'm still in touch with the photo world. Thanks.
