in my opinion, all of the songs on this album are good - excellent songs. i bought this cd when i was 13, i'm 22 almost 23 now and still love every song. the lyrics are amazing and are the way rap songs are supposed to be, rough with a tough sound. great cd, would recommend to anyone.

  Cypress Hill - Black Sunday
Review created: 01/25/08

This is a classic weed smokin, ease back and cruise down the road, album. I remember the bass punishing my old setup with (2) 15" Orion woofers. B-real's voice is different than any rapper out there so you can expect a refreshing sound from Cypress Hill. If you have not cruised down the street listening to this album you should be ashamed of yourself.

Cypress Hill's 2nd and best release

Their 2nd and top-selling, best release to date. Check out classic songs like "Insane In The Brain", the marijuana smoking "Hits From The Bong" and "Cock The Hammer". Pick it up if you see it and know what people were listening to way back in 1993.

STRAIGHTY STRAIGHT UPTIGHTS cannot tolerate this type of music.

  A Must Have Classic!
Review created: 10/14/09(updated 10/14/09)

After already having commercial success with their first, self-titled album, Cypress Hill returned with a follow-up that surpassed expectations and earned itself instant "classic" status. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, recording the highest Soundscan for a rap group at the time and sold enough copies to earn triple platinum in the U.S. Also, with their debut still in the charts, they became the first rap group to have 2 albums in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 at the same time. B-Real's trademark high-pitched nasally rhymes backed by vocals from Sen Dog and production by DJ Muggs helped change the landscape of hip hip and eventually became a part of history. In 1998, Black Sunday was named one of the top 100 Best Rap Albums by Source Magazine. With singles like "Insane in the Brain" "I Ain't Goin' Out Like That" "Hits from the Bong" and "I Wanna Get High", Cypress Hill captured a following among both hip hop and rock audiences alike. I have been a fan for years and Black Sunday is what started it off for me. The album comes with a booklet that contains 19 facts about the history and positive attributes of cannabis which I found very interesting. Replay is very high because of so many classic songs, I would encourage anyone who is a fan of hip hop to purchase this album.
