Excellent Version of the Illiad

This book is beautiful and well written. The story of the Illiad is clearly told and illustrated with full page illustrations that often surround the text. This is a great read-aloud for elementary aged children or book that a high school student or an adult to read on their own to gain insight into the story of the Illiad. Overall this is the copy to buy.

Rosemary Sutcliff has done an excellent job in the retelling of this beautifully illustrated classic. An excellent read-aloud for anyone over the age of 8, but enjoyable as a read-alone for teens and adults alike! The back pages also include a pronunciation guide, which I think most of us will find quite useful. Definitely worth owning!
